VIN scan and decode
Point the camera at the door-jamb barcode. The make, model and year come back automatically from the NHTSA VIN database.
Flyintake turns the phone in your pocket into a complete service-drive check-in. Scan the VIN, snap four-corner photos, talk through the concern, and text the customer an update without going back to the counter.
Clipboards, blurry photos on someone's personal phone, and "I'll call you when we know more" don't match the shop you've built. Flyintake gives every vehicle the same organised check-in, every time.
Every tool your service advisors and techs need to check a car in, document it and keep the customer updated.
Point the camera at the door-jamb barcode. The make, model and year come back automatically from the NHTSA VIN database.
A guided, full-screen camera captures the front-left, front-right, rear-left and rear-right of the car. Retakes keep the earlier photo.
Record the customer's concern or the tech's diagnosis. AI writes the transcript and an editable work-order draft for you to review.
Attach parts invoices, estimates, receipts and documents to the vehicle as the job moves along.
Send repair updates by SMS from your shop's own number. Every message is saved in the job's history, and customers can reply STOP to opt out.
When a job is marked Completed, send a review request through a branded short link. You can turn on automatic sending, and each repair gets at most one request.
Hand the tablet to the customer. A full-screen view with large keys lets them enter their name, phone, email and texting consent.
Photos, bills and audio sync to the owner's Google Drive in one folder per vehicle, named by make, model, owner and VIN.
Invite advisors and techs with Google sign-in and give each person an owner, admin or staff role. If you run more than one shop, every location's records stay separate.
A typical check-in takes a couple of minutes, and every change saves as you type.
Open a new intake on any phone, scan the barcode and confirm the decoded vehicle and odometer reading.
Capture all four corners, then let the customer enter their contact details and texting consent on the check-in screen.
Talk through what the customer told you. Flyintake drafts the work order, and your team adds bills and receipts as the job progresses.
Move the job through In progress, Waiting on parts and Ready for pickup, texting updates along the way. When it's done, ask for a review.
Customers mostly want to know what's happening with their car. Flyintake puts the updates in their text messages and gives them a page to check (coming soon).
The best independent shops run like a dealership service lane and still feel personal. Flyintake brings the dealership-level process to your shop without the dealership software bill or a week of training.
Early-access shops help decide what we build next. Here's what we're working on.
A private link for each repair showing the current status, a progress timeline, approved updates, the expected completion date and photos you've chosen to share. Links can be revoked or set to expire.
Editable templates for intake confirmation, approval requests and ready-for-pickup notices, sent when the job's status changes. Includes delivery history and duplicate prevention.
Record a short video of the worn part or the finished job, add a caption, and choose whether to publish it to the customer's status page.
A full-screen recorder that shows words as you speak and learns your shop's vocabulary, from makes and models to calipers, control arms and diagnostic codes.
No. Flyintake runs in the browser on iPhone, Android, iPad and desktop. Open app.flyintake.com and sign in with Google.
Flyintake handles intake, documentation and customer updates. It works alongside your existing estimating, parts and invoicing software.
Originals are stored in your shop's Flyintake account and copied to the shop owner's Google Drive, with one folder per vehicle under FLYINTAKE_VEHICLES. Flyintake asks only for access to the files it creates in your Drive.
Point your phone camera at the VIN barcode on the door jamb or registration. Flyintake reads the barcode and looks up the year, make and model in the public NHTSA database. You can also type the VIN.
Record or upload a voice note. Flyintake saves the audio first, then creates a transcript and a draft work order that you can edit. Always review the draft before authorising repairs.
